For the past few months, the All-Pro quarterback has been involved in negotiations on a new contract. With the market increasing for the most important position in football, it’s only logical that Rodgers receives a raise.
Well, apparently that massive payday is here. According to Adam Schefter, the Packers and Rodgers are expected to finalize an extension that would make him the highest-paid player ever.

It’s going to set a new benchmark in a BIG way.
Aaron Rodgers’ new deal is expected to be the largest in NFL history and will tie him to Green Bay for well beyond the two years on his contract and quite likely for the remainder of his career.

Despite missing the majority of last season, Rodgers’ impact on Green Bay is matched by few in league history. He’s won two MVPs, led them to the 2010 Super Bowl, and continues making plays that leave the rest of the world watching in awe.
It’s already been a busy day for the Packers, which included shipping Brett Hundley to the Seahawks. Yet, the news of Rodgers’ new deal is obviously the biggest story in Wisconsin.
As for the terms of the contract, James Jones is reporting that Rodgers will receive over $100 million in guaranteed money and $33.5 million in new money over his four-year extension.
