Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown’s Immaturity Won’t Be Missed in the Steel City

At long last, the drama in Pittsburgh has come to an end. Thank the heavens above!

That’s right, Art Rooney II informed Antonio Brown he’ll be traded, while the team told Le’Veon Bell his days with the Steelers are officially over and he can sign with whoever the hell he wants. Normally when your team loses two superstars, it’s bad news.

In this case, we’ve got reason to celebrate, Pittsburgh. Put little Timmy and Kelly to bed early this evening and bust out some cold Iron City cans. Drink up all you want.

For the last two years, as good as Brown and Bell have been on the field, they’ve been equally, if not more, infuriating off of it. These two are the textbook definition of immature and have been starving for attention at every moment.

Whether it was on Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat, these two made themselves look worse and worse with each post. Bell’s Martin Luther King tweet on Wednesday after he was informed he wouldn’t be tagged was yet another example of this.

Free at last? Cool, dude. MLK delivered his speech to fight racial injustices. You’re tweeting this out after your terrible relationship with the Steelers, in which you completely screwed over your teammates and fanbase, came to an end.

I’m all for players going out and getting paid. I’m not going to sit here and act like these guys who put their safety on the line every week shouldn’t be selfish when it comes to contracts. However, both Bell and Brown had a “me me me” attitude and loved stirring up issues with teammates, especially Ben Roethlisberger.

Now, this is officially Ben’s team, and he’ll be handing the ball off to James Conner and throwing even more touchdown passes to JuJu Smith-Schuster. Sure, losing Bell and Brown will hurt, but it’s a double addition by subtraction. Good luck with your next stop, boys. Don’t let the door hit you on your selfish keisters on the way out of the Steel City, though.
