This is the absolute last thing any football fan wants to see no matter which team you support. Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp thought he had a nice gainer Sunday against the Denver Broncos, but he was torn down in an instant with an illegal horse collar tackle from Darian Stewart. And it did not look good.
The Rams later issued modestly positive news given the circumstances, announcing that the knee injury had not entirely ruled Kupp out of returning to the game.
That’s the kind of news sighs of relief were made for.
Injury Update: Cooper Kupp is questionable to return with a knee injury.

I mean, with the way this looked, it’s hard to believe he’s questionable.

For the moment, it appears that the injury looked worse than it’s turning out to be. But in that moment, it really did look authentically terrible. There’s a reason horse collar tackles aren’t allowed, and all our fingers are crossed that Kupp dodged a bullet here.
